Neurodiversity and Learning Resources

Supporting Neurodivergent Students

Our school is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Neurodiversity recognizes that differences in how people think, learn, and process information—such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other cognitive variations—are a natural and valuable part of human diversity. Supporting neurodivergent students means recognizing strengths, removing barriers to learning, and fostering belonging.

California-Required Neurodiversity Resources

In accordance with California Education Code § 234.6, California public schools, including charter schools, are required to make neurodiversity and learning resources developed by the University of California and the California State University Collaborative for Neurodiversity and Learning readily accessible to students, parents, and guardians.

The following resources are provided to help families, students, and educators better understand neurodiversity and support inclusive learning environments:

Official Neurodiversity and Learning Resources

These resources include information on:

  • Understanding neurodiversity

  • Inclusive educational practices

  • Reducing stigma and bias

  • Supporting student well-being and success

Bullying Prevention and Student Support

California law also requires schools to address bullying prevention and student safety.

The California Department of Education provides an online bullying prevention training module for school staff, which includes guidance on supporting students who are bullied for being, or being perceived as, neurodivergent (Ed. Code § 32283.5).

Our school is committed to:

  • Preventing bullying and harassment

  • Supporting students who experience bullying

  • Fostering a respectful and inclusive school community
